Cool greens and flashes of yellow - this painting was truly joyful to make. I loved playing with different techniques and colours in creating this artwork, inspired by a memory of visiting the Champagne Pools on K’gari (Fraser Island) when my two were tiny.
While the sea was crashing over into the main pools, this little pool was calm and peaceful - a perfect place to play. The fish swam around their feet, nibbling at their toes, and there was much delight in splashing water at the big rock in the centre, and being spurted in return.
35.5 x 45.5cm acrylics on canvas, wired ready to hang. Framing available on request.
