A special kind of quiet

$300.00
Sold

There is something strange and alluringly contradictory about seeing and hearing waves crashing violently against a rocky point, versus the peace you feel, sitting in the shade of a tree, watching this from above. This is the premise of ‘a special kind of quiet’.

It was inspired by a memory of visiting Waddy Point on K’gari, north of Indian Head. It is in these places, and in these moments, that we are reminded of our smallness, and clarity often appears.

This colourful little landscape was created after I was lucky enough to see some original Ken Done artworks in person. It signalled the ushering in of a new freedom in creative expression for me, and I love its resulting ‘in your face’ colours and retro vibes.

This piece would look awesome in a mid century styled home or, alternatively, as part of a gallery wall with other random artworks.

35 x 45cm acrylics on canvas, wired ready to hang. Framing available on request.

**Please note shipping costs are extra and will be quoted before payment (Australia only). For international shipping, please contact me prior to purchase to obtain a quote. Local collection from Tingoora is available, or free delivery can be arranged within the South Burnett and Sunshine Coast regions. Please choose this option if you would like to organise collection or delivery, or contact me prior to confirm delivery is available to your location.
